It all started at a conference because of course it did.In late May, Samantha’s friend Meghan invited her to stay at the JW Marriott Desert Springs for a few days, with the promise of sunshine, cocktails, and ending the week seeing one of Samantha’s favorite artists, Lizzo. Naturally, she said yes.On the first night, Meghan introduced Samantha to someone unexpected, Michael Weber, who happened to share the exact same name as Meghan’s husband. After getting past the initial confusion, we started talking and did not stop until well past midnight.The next night, the same thing.From Jack’s stuffed animals to travel and everything in between, we just clicked. Even if Samantha was not quite sold on this Iowa boy at first, and even if Michael was so focused on his own world that he was not thinking about a romantic connection.Somewhere along the way, Michael forgot Samantha’s name but was asking around the conference trying to figure it out, which was slightly misconstrued as romantic interest. With a little encouragement, Samantha told Meghan to give him her number. What was the worst that could happen?Cue late night texts that turned into four in the morning conversations, and then into something more.About a month and a half later, we met in New York for a proper first date and saw Shucked. It was a whirlwind weekend, and by the time we said goodbye at the airport, Samantha in tears, we both knew there was something real.From there, daily texts turned into calls, then FaceTimes, then love. We started building a life between cities, meeting family, and finding our rhythm between time together and airport goodbyes.Samantha met Jack. Michael met Mama and Papa D. And everything started to fall into place.We knew the only way forward was to be in the same place, so we started house hunting in Iowa. On one last minute trip, Samantha flew out and we decided to surprise Jack.The next morning, Jack walked in to see Puppy Stanley and instead found Samantha. After a moment of confusion, it clicked. “It’s Miss Samantha.” What followed was a running hug, a first kiss from this sweet boy, and a moment that felt like the start of our family.A few months later, we found the perfect home. Samantha packed up her life in California and moved to Iowa, all while waiting for a proposal that Michael insisted he was “working on.”That summer, Michael flew out for the Fourth of July, asked Samantha’s dad for his blessing, and shortly after, proposed.She said yes.Since then, our life has been filled with traveling to see each other, late night FaceTimes, spontaneous photobooths, a competitive skeeball game at every chance, and a lot of laughter. And of course, constantly calling each other Babe.Our love story feels light, happy, and deeply us.We cannot wait for you to celebrate with us and be part of this next chapter as we continue writing our story together and make our vow of forever.

Kelsey is the sister Samantha was meant to have, she was simply born in Texas. They met freshman year at Chapman, and Kelsey’s carefree spirit and joy in the little things created a bond deeper than friendship. Built over Mexican food, high heels, and sharing the same shoe size, their relationship has remained constant through every phase of life. Samantha stood beside Kelsey in 2018, crying as she married the love of her life.

Jack is Michael’s son, his best bud, and the person who already holds more than half of his heart. This wedding is a meaningful milestone for their family, and there was never any question that Jack needed a special role. “Best Bud” is the perfect title for the little boy who means so much to Michael and Samantha and will always be at the heart of their family.

Stacy and Samantha met freshman year at Chapman and quickly bonded over travel, adventure, and legendary girls’ weekends. Their favorite memories include New Orleans, studying abroad in Italy, and Stacy braving a freezing Venice winter so Samantha could fulfill her gondola dream. Samantha was honored to stand by Stacy’s side at her beautiful 2021 wedding and is thankful to have her by her side now.

Jon is Michael’s older brother and has been a steady presence through every stage of his life. As someone Michael has always looked up to, Jon has been a quiet role model, showing through his actions the importance of hard work, reliability, and commitment. From their years together in Boy Scouts, Band, and FCCLA to working side by side with Jon’s business during Michael’s college years, they have shared plenty of hard work. No matter the project, Michael and Jon have always been willing to lend each other a hand. Their relationship is built on loyalty, dependability, and always showing up for each other.

Hannah, affectionately known as HB, met Samantha at Chapman University, where they were sorority sisters and Communication majors. They have shared the highest of highs and countless unforgettable moments. Samantha was honored to stand by Hannah’s side at her 2022 wedding and is grateful to have HB beside her now. Her favorite memories are their San Diego adventures and the trouble they always found in the Gaslamp Quarter.

Matt is Michael’s oldest brother and has been an example for him throughout every stage of life. Although about six years apart, Michael grew up watching Matt and following in many of his footsteps—from Boy Scouts to FCCLA, and eventually Iowa State University. Matt’s leadership, dedication, and involvement showed Michael the value of working hard and committing fully to the things that matter. More than an older brother, Matt has always been someone Michael could look up to, learn from, and count on.

Taryn and Samantha’s story began in their hometown of Anaheim Hills before they became fast friends in college. From studying abroad and traveling the world to weekly line dancing, concerts, and their “Country Cuties” radio show, their friendship has always been full of adventure. Samantha stood by Taryn’s side at her 2017 wedding to fellow Canyon Comanche Erik and is grateful to have her beside her now.

Kevin met Samantha in college and has remained one of her biggest fans ever since, even surviving a chapter as her roommate. What began as the “Will to Samantha’s Grace” has evolved into Kevin becoming the number-one supporter of “the Babes.” He is always ready to cheer on Michael, hype up Samantha, and bring plenty of laughter to them both. Equal parts loyal friend, enthusiastic cheerleader, and resident giggle monster, Kevin brings joy wherever he goes.

Getting to Temecula

We can’t wait to celebrate with you in Temecula, California. Below are a few recommendations to help with planning your trip.

Temecula is within driving distance of several Southern California airports. We recommend comparing flights into San Diego (SAN), Ontario (ONT), and Orange County/John Wayne (SNA) based on the best schedule and fare for your trip.

San Diego International Airport (SAN)Approximately 60 miles | 1–1.25 hours to TemeculaSan Diego offers the widest selection of flights and nonstop routes for many travelers. The drive to Temecula is relatively straightforward, primarily north on I-15.

Ontario International Airport (ONT)Approximately 53 miles | 55 minutes–1.25 hours to TemeculaOntario is one of the closest and most convenient airports to Temecula. It is a smaller, easy-to-navigate airport with a relatively straightforward drive south on I-15.

Orange County / John Wayne Airport (SNA)Approximately 65 miles | 1–1.5 hours to TemeculaJohn Wayne is another convenient option, particularly if you find a good nonstop flight or plan to spend some additional time in Orange County.

A Note on Travel Times

Southern California traffic can vary significantly depending on the day and time. The drive times above are estimates under normal traffic conditions, so we recommend allowing additional time during weekday morning and afternoon rush hours and when traveling back to the airport.

We hope you’ll have a chance to enjoy Temecula while you’re in town. We’ve spent quite a bit of time exploring the area, and these are a few of our favorite places and stops we recommend checking out while you’re here.

A Few of Our Favorite Wineries

You can’t come to Temecula without spending a little time in wine country. There are plenty of wineries to choose from, but these are a few of our personal favorites.

Akash Winery &amp; Vineyard - This was the second Temecula Winery that we visited! We sat at the bar and talked with one of the winemakers, a very fun vibe! Akash has a modern, laid-back atmosphere, a great outdoor space, and beautiful vineyard views.

Peltzer Winery - This was another winery from our first to Temecula where we met up with friends and Michael really loved the wine slushie! Has more of a rustic and relaxed feel. It's a great place to grab a glass of wine, enjoy the property, and spend some time hanging out.

Maurice Car’rie Winery - If you make a stop at Maurice Car’rie, get some sourdough bread. Trust us on this one, we always stop for a loaf when we're in town.

Europa Village - This was the first winery that we ever visited in Temecula! It's a beautiful property, major Tuscan vibes.

Old Town Temecula

We also recommend spending some time walking around Old Town Temecula. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, and places to stop for a drink along the way.

Coin-Op Game Room One of the more fun stops in Old Town to stop for a few rounds of Skeeball and use the photo booth. Coin-Op has drinks, food, and a collection of classic arcade games.

Staying a Little Longer?

If you’re making the trip to Southern California, you may want to come a little early or stay a few extra days.

Disneyland is only about an hour to an hour and a half from Temecula, depending on traffic, making it an easy addition to your trip before or after the wedding. Samantha, Michael &amp; Jack visited Mickey in September 2024 and had an amazing time, be sure to check out the Haunted Mansion and let Jack know how it was!

And if Disney isn’t your thing, San Diego, Orange County, the beaches, and plenty more of Southern California are close enough to make the most of a few extra days.
